Anyone who is desperate to lose weight will count the calories on the back of everything they eat. The biggest mistake made though, Is not realising where those calories are coming from, fat, protein or carbohydrate?! It is simple maths, and to lose weight its essential to understand.
As you can see fat contains the most calories. So don’t make the mistake of having a meal and thinking great, this is only 150 calories, but not making the observation that there are 10 grams of fat in the meal, which shore won’t make you lose weight! If your goal is to lose weight, try to make sure most of the calories in your meals come from protein. Protein keeps up the metabolism, burns fat and preserves muscle, which is all essential for weight loss.
Remember as well that even though carbohydrates generally have the same amount of calories that protein, excess carbohydrate in your body that is not used up for energy will be stored as fat and you wont lose weight, so take the advise and keep the protein high for weight loss.
