Want to lose weight? Cut sugar down

Too much sugar can lead to obesity and type-2 diabetes which raises the risk of heart attacks and strokes, and if you want to lose weight sugar should be your worst enemy. It can also ruin your teeth as it leads to dental decay. Sugar provides around 16 calories per level teaspoon and no vitamins or minerals.


Sugar raises your insulin levels which means more carbohydrate will be stored in your body as fat which is obviously not what you want if you are trying to lose weight! Also when your insulin is raised you will get a big spike in energy, then soon after you will become just as hungry and want to eat again, now we all know when were trying to lose weight the last thing we want are hunger cravings!


Large amounts of sugar are added to a lot of products lurking in your cupboards, such as biscuits, canned foods and ready made meals. It tastes good, but it is recommended that you eat it sparingly and cut down as much as possible if you are wanting to lose weight.
